She delivered a white female cria on October 8, 2007. Her name is "Jeweler". The Sire is our Medium Fawn Full Accoyo Herdsire - Maurizio. Shasta Springs Co-owns Maurizio with Wild Rose Suri Ranch. Maurizio is one of the darkest full Accoyo males in the USA.
Diamond previously delivered a beige Full Accoyo Female on 10/31/2006. Her name is Tiffany's and she sold at the Private Auction to Bill, Mary and Charlene Pearce. Thank you Five Star's Elite Farm!
Diamond is rebred to Maurizio. They are producing wonderful offspring.
We have loved this production. Diamond is due September 25, 2008. She is an excellent Mother. She delivers healthy crias easily and produces an amble amount of milk. An excellent producer and easy keeper.

Admiral is Shasta Springs Blue Ribbon Grey Herdsire. He has grey genetics from his Dam and Black from his Sire. Admiral has perfect conformation - we love showing him off.
Admiral is a medium silver gray with pencil locks and transcendent luster. He won first place and Reserve Champion at the very prestigious Eastern Jubilee Mapaca Show in Harrisburg in April 2002. We are very proud of him.
He also won first place at the Star Event Show.
We could never part with Admiral, but offer a free breeding to him with a purchase of one of our females.
He has produced beautiful gray crias from a variety of colored Dams. The locks on all his crias have been an improvement on the Dam.

Arabella is a beautiful  medium silver gray Bolivian Imported Female Suri.   Arabella has produced  multiple grey offspring.  Notice Arabella's perfect top line. Her conformation is perfect and her crias have all had a very erect presence that makes them stand out. 
Arabella's crias have performed well in the show ring. She has produced fantastic grey suris for Shasta Springs.
Arabella has an easy-going demeanor which is unusual for an import and all her crias have been exceptionally friendly.

Arabella is bred to our Champion Rose Grey Suri Herdsire Radar.  Radar is a Gunsmoke son. Arabella is due on June 13, 2008. We repeated the breeding from last year hoping to bring out the grey from Dam and Sire.

Arabella delivered a beautiful light fawn female cria (Caledonya) on 6/27/07. Caledonya ia a beautiful fawn maiden. If you click on the picture of Arabella you will see a picture of Caledonya. She is fawn with a smokey grey skin. I suspect Caledonya will produce grey bred to grey as her Mother has repeated proven to do.

Arabella's most recent cria is a gorgeous rose grey female "Duchess". She was born on June 11, 2008. She is rebred back to Shasta Springs Iridium and due on June 2, 2009. We are very excited to have Iridium producing in our breeding program and anticipate another beautiful grey Suri from this production.

Gardenia is a magnificent, dark silver grey suri female out of two grey suri parents. For a grey, she has magnificent luster, which not only makes her fleece a pleasure to look at but, to touch as well.

Gardenia is Sired by El Nino, a medium silver grey Herdsire famous for his offspring winning in the showring. His offspring most often placing in the top three places. He has excellent conformation and is very upright.

Gardenia's Dam, Grey Cloud, was hand picked for Ameripaca's grey suri breeding program from Bolivia. Grey Cloud is a shimmering, dark silver grey suri with excellent and consistent lock structure.

Gardenia's first two crias were grey. She delivered her third cria on 6/6/06 "Ashton" He is a gorgeous bayblack male. His lock structure is tight and slick feeling. He has twisted pencil locks to the skin and luster is shinning as you look at him. Imagine the possibilities with his grey genetics. Ashton is sold--look for him in the show ring.

Gypsy has color consistency, fineness and exceptional uniformity, many elements missing from grey fleeces. She has an exceptional look from head to toe. Her fleece has a high frequency of very well defined tightly packed crimped fibers.

DDF Accoyo Maurizio is the full son of 2Peruvian Bruxo (Accoyo) and 2Peruvian Eleuteria (Accoyo) who is a medium fawn. Maurizio carries the gentle nature of his Sire Bruxo, along with strong heavy boned body type. Maurizio's fleece has narrow, high luster locks with that desirable "greasy" appearance. He has outstanding leg coverage, a heavy dense fleece, and still sports facial coverage and a beard at age 5. Accoyo Bruxo has produced many show-winning offspring, and there is great expectation for Maurizio producing colored Accoyos with show-winning records. He is an incredible Herdsire. He has lock and luster from head to toe, big heavy bones and great coverage.

She was an early breeder, though we had hope to get her back in the show ring.Moondance won 6th Place at Paoba 2005 Breeders Showcase, she was in a large class of "mulit-colored" animals, very tough to compete against.

Moon Dance bred on her first breeding to our Champion Rare Rose Grey Herdsire - "Ameripaca's Radar." She produced a rose grey male that is a gorgeous combination of Moondance and Radar. "Winchester" was born Nov. 28, 2006 and a very rare rose grey male produced from two rose greys. We are very excited about this breeding from two Incredibly Rare Suris.

Moondance bred to Radar and produced a dark brown Suri male on Dec. 18, 2007.

Nightingale's first cria was a beautiful fancy female. . Her second cria "Apache" was out of our Mahogany colored Herdsire - "Tobago" Apache looked like Nightingale. Apache won 1st Place at PAOBA 2006. We rebred her to Tobago for our "06" cria - "Boddington.". Boddington is a stunning medium brown male with slick shiny corkscrew locks.

Prairie Rose is a well-balanced female with thick bones and a gorgeous head. She has a beautiful light rose grey fleece that is rare in color, bright, fine and dense. Prairie's Sire, Kaspa, is a six-time Champion including the 2003 AOBA Grey Male Champion. She was bred to Patagonia's Neruda. He is an exotic silver grey with extremely fine fleece. Neruda was sold at the Futurity Auction in Kentucky on April 21, 2007. Neruda was the highest selling Alpaca at the Auction. I think the price was $220,000.

Renaissance is a Rare Classic True Black Bolivian imported Female Suri. Her fiber is one of a kind. She would be hard to replace. She has passed on her fiber and perfect conformation to all her crias. Every cria has displayed bright luster with a great lock structure. All Renaissance's crias have consistently proven themselves in the show ring. We breed her several times to our Signiture Black Herdsire Sergio. The production was always been top of the line. She has been one of our best reliable producers. Easy pregnancys, easy deliveries, great mother, great lactation. She seems to pass on all her perfect qualities to her crias. Luster be perhaps her strongest attribute.

We have many fantastic Herdsires at Shasta Springs. We decided to breed Renaissance back to Tobago this year. His crias hit the ground and their luster is so bright. We were very enthusiastic about this union and were not disappointed. Renaissance, delivered an absolutely incredible female (Toronado) on 9/6/06. Loaded with locks and luster, this little girl has it all.

Renaissance is again bred back to Tobago for another cria like Toranado. She is due on September 2, 2008.

6Peruvian Romantico was purchased from Star Events Spring-03 Herdsire Sale. He is a Full Peruvian Male with fiber density that I have never encountered. He was the original real true first "Helmet Head" and passes on this trait to every cria. We all want animals with head wool. Coverage from nose to toes is Romantico's signature. He also has fineness and uniformity of fleece that makes him a winner. He was only available to customers of Shasta Springs. You must check out his pictures!!! His crias are awesome-- Simply Awesome!!

We are not really sure if his imported birthdate is correct. He is very mild tempered and acts old. We do not know how many more Romantico crias will be produced. Shasta Springs is not breeding Romantico but, we enjoy watching him enjoy his golden years.

Satu is one of the most exotic and rare Suri alpacas in the United States. Her lock formation is as tight as any white. Virgin fleece was 20.2 micron. A unique appaloosa female.

She was bred to Ameripaca's Gunsmoke. A gorgeous male cria was born on Feb. 3, 2003. McGrady is an appaloosa with the same markings as Satu.

Satu was bred back to Crayola and they produced an gorgeous white male on June 7, 04. "Vanilla Ice has incrediable fiber and is a Herdsire.

Satu bred to Shasta Springs "TOBAGO" delivered another beautiful fibered male - Edisto on 6/17/05. Edisto is loaded with locks, and has her appaloosa markings.
Satu bred to Tobago and delivered a gorgeous true black female cria (Sermet) on 9/4/06. Sermet wins every show she enters, including Reserve Champion at AOBA 2007 and Reserve Champion at the empire extravaganza in 2007.

Satu was then bred to the "Legendary" PVA Mahogany Prince and she delivered a white with brown speckling suri female on Sept. 14, 2007. We are very pleased with this gorgeous young female "Cypress" She looks very much like her Mom. We think all Satu's offsprings have been exceptional and have proven themselves exceptional in the show ring.

Sermet is a True Black Full Bolivian Suri female. An absolutely magnificant young black female with rare Bolivian genetics in her background.
Black is a very rare and desirable color but, to add the luster this young female exhibits is fantastic. She has flowing lustrous locks and a very slick shiny feel to the fineness in her fleece. Her lock structure is penciled to the skin and tightly twisted. We are seeing absolutely no flaws in this female.

Her first two crias were blue ribbon winners and she continued the trend with her third cria when bred to our champion gray Herdsire On-line, and produced Mercury. Mercury won first place in a huge gray class at Mapaca in April 2004 and continued to win several more after he was sold.

Starlet O'Hara is truly a one of a kind huacaya female. I was instantly drawn to her unusual marking. I have never seen another alpaca like her. She also has gorgeous crimp and a dense blanket. I was hoping she could produce crias with her unusal markings. Her first cria delivered at Shasta Springs was what we ordered. Unusual colored pattern and fabulous fiber. A wonderful appaloosa and blue ribbon winner of the PAOBA multi class.

Starlet was bred to SCF Lucky Luciano, a four time color champion. He has the most amazing fiber! We co-own Lucky with Silvercloud Farms.

Starlet produced an appaloosa fawn and brown male on July 31, 2007 " Rubicon" I am absolutely in love with his fiber.

Starlet produced a bay black female on July 11, 2008. She had thick curly crimped fiber from day 1. A show quality young female! Consistent with all crias Starlet and Lucky luciano have continued to produce for Shasta Springs!

Starlet's exotic markings are one of a kind and I plan to watch her forever out my kitchen window forever.

Tilama is our special taupe colored Huacaya female. She is a Chilean Import.She has a color that is not really identified on the color chart . She is a wonderful mother and has been a good producer for Shasta Springs. She has produced grey, black and brown.

We will not sell her at 13 years old. She is breeding strong but, this is her home. Tilama is a good mother, good milker, and produces great crias. Her genetics are passed on through her crias.

Tilama is bred to our Co-Owned 4time Champion Herdsire "Lucky Luciano".
Tilama's crias are for sale. It is by no coincidence that every cria produced by Lucky has amazing densely crimped fiber.

Tilama was bred to ScF Lucky Luciano and produced a multi-colored male on June 15, 2008. This cria got the entire farm excited. His name is "Kodochrome" and we are all in love with this young male. His fiber is consistent with the excellent crimp Lucky Luciano continues to produce with each cria.

Tobago is an awesome Bay Black/Mahogony Male Suri. He is Full Bolivian. His Sire is Andy Tillman's Inspiration and Dam is Rose Grey "Moonlight and Roses". Moonlight has been an excellent producer for us.

Tobago won second place as a bay black at Mapaca in April 2003. Our Kyptonite won first. I think Tobago is a deep mahogony.(No such color?) Whatever you may think, He is undoubtably gorgeous. He is one of Shasta Springs favorites with his unusual color and incredible thick twisted perfectly uniformed locks with glowing lustrious fiber. Perfect conformation on this big boned male.

Tobago first crias hit the ground in the Spring of 2005. He is producing some of the most lustrious crias and we are so pleased with his production. They are just loaded with tight twisted locks to the skin and luster that is apparent from a far distance.

It is apparent to all visitors that Tobago is a great male Suri.

Shasta Springs Winchester is an extremely rare rose grey Suri Male Jr. Herdsire. His Sire is a son of the well-known Gunsmoke and grand-son of 4P Condor. His Dam is the poster alpaca for PAOBA and an offspring of one of our best producers of rose grey crias. Light rose grey Suris make up only .8 of the total suris in the US making Winchester the rarest color in the USA. The fact that Winchester was produced from two extremely rare rose grey parents makes him even rarer and most likely to reproduce his color genetics in a breeding program.

Winchester has started his show career this Fall. We are quite impressed with his fiber density and uniformed locks. He is conformationally perfect at his young age. His locks has very nice luster. Put his extremely easy-going personality in the package and he is perfect for any breeding program trying to upgrade their program.

Shasta Springs Wyndam is a gorgeous medium silver grey Huacaya male. Wyndam has the most incredible dense super fine soft fiber with even crimping throughout his entire blanket. We are excited to be taking this next generation of grey fiber into the show ring.

She has appaloosa characteristics Caprice has been a great Mom--extremely easy to breed and delivers easily. Caprice delivered a healthy fawn 1/2 Accoyo male cria on Sept. 22, 2006. We were hoping for grey but, this 1/2 young male is no disappointment. He looks great! He has a slick feel to his fiber and locked tight to the skin.

Caprice was bred to the "Legendary Sire" PVA Mahogany Prince. The "Prince" is an incredible dark fawn, full Peruvian Sire. He has defined locks and luster from head to toe, big heavy bones, great coverage and exceptional conformation. Casi has beautiful lock structure. Her fiber is thick and very nice locking. She has been an excellent producer for Shasta Springs. She has producd the multis we were breeding for and even a bay black.

Casi is easy to get pregnant. She delivers her crias easily and unassisted, produces plenty of milk and is a great Mom. She is a very easy keeper.

Casi delivered a beautiful male cria (Gunnison) on 9/3/06. His color is just like his Sire, Tobago, that rich mahogany brown and loaded with luster. He is currently in our show strand. Gunnison won 1st place at his last show.
