Karet is a white full Accoyo Jr. Herdsire. We are particular pleased with this young male and will be keeping him in our breeding program for genetic options for us as well as our customers.

Karet has nice Suri head, free moving locks, a cool handle and pearling on his neck. Karet's luster is bright and sparkling. His conformation is flawless. Karet's fiber this year after being shorn has grown in beautifully. He is very dense and thick idividual corkscrew locks.

Admiral is Shasta Springs Blue Ribbon Grey Herdsire. He has grey genetics from his Dam and Black from his Sire. Admiral has perfect conformation - we love showing him off.
Admiral is a medium silver gray with pencil locks and transcendent luster. He won first place and Reserve Champion at the very prestigious Eastern Jubilee Mapaca Show in Harrisburg in April 2002. We are very proud of him.
He also won first place at the Star Event Show.
We could never part with Admiral, but offer a free breeding to him with a purchase of one of our females.
He has produced beautiful gray crias from a variety of colored Dams. The locks on all his crias have been an improvement on the Dam.

Arabella is a beautiful  medium silver gray Bolivian Imported Female Suri.   Arabella has produced  multiple grey offspring.  Notice Arabella's perfect top line. Her conformation is perfect and her crias have all had a very erect presence that makes them stand out. 
Arabella's crias have performed well in the show ring. She has produced fantastic grey suris for Shasta Springs.
Arabella has an easy-going demeanor which is unusual for an import and all her crias have been exceptionally friendly.

Arabella is bred to our Champion Rose Grey Suri Herdsire Radar.  Radar is a Gunsmoke son. Arabella is due on June 13, 2008. We repeated the breeding from last year hoping to bring out the grey from Dam and Sire.

Arabella delivered a beautiful light fawn female cria (Caledonya) on 6/27/07. Caledonya ia a beautiful fawn maiden. If you click on the picture of Arabella you will see a picture of Caledonya. She is fawn with a smokey grey skin. I suspect Caledonya will produce grey bred to grey as her Mother has repeated proven to do.

Arabella's most recent cria is a gorgeous rose grey female "Duchess". She was born on June 11, 2008. She is rebred back to Shasta Springs Iridium and due on June 2, 2009. We are very excited to have Iridium producing in our breeding program and anticipate another beautiful grey Suri from this production.

Her skin is grey and her fiber is a silky shimmering fawn.

Caledonya's Dam and Sire go back three generations of grey. This gorgeous little fawn female has a large potential to produce grey if breed to one of Shasta Springs 9 grey Herdsires.

Caledonya should be ready for breeding late fall of 2008.

Female Suri

Charly's Angel is a beautiful medium rose grey appy female. She has a protective personality and would not be a good choice for a beginner alpaca breeder.

She produces gorgeous cria. She delivered a rose grey female on November 1, 2006.

Charly was bred to our Champion Grey Herdsire ABC Admiral and delivered a rose grey male "Roanoke" on oct. 31, 2007.

Charly is presently bred to Admiral again for a cria due Dec. 11, 2008. We have been so enthusiastic about the production of Charly and Admiral that we continue to repeat it.

Shasta Springs Chivas

Contessa is a beautiful medium silver Grey suri bred female. She is presently bred to Shasta Springs Bombardier and due on October 14, 2008. This will be Contessa's first cria.

Shasta Springs Cypress ia a rare appaloosa Suri maiden female. She exhibits Superior Suri phenotype. She has perfect lock structure, uniformity and high luster.

Her Sire PVA Mahogany Prince needs no introduction tp the Suri world. Cypress will be another offspring adding to his exceptional progany of champions.

Cypresss's Dam Satu of Bolivia exhibits the same rare appaloosa markings with excellent conformation and coverage. Satu's lock formation is still tight and uniformed at the age of 13. An excellent producer of blue ribbon winners year after year.

Durango is a medium brown Jr. Herdsire. We are anxious to watch this outstanding young male grow up.

His fiber is gorgeous even from a distance without even parting it. His fleece is extremely fine and extremely dense with a high frequency crimp.

Gardenia is a magnificent, dark silver grey suri female out of two grey suri parents. For a grey, she has magnificent luster, which not only makes her fleece a pleasure to look at but, to touch as well.

Gardenia is Sired by El Nino, a medium silver grey Herdsire famous for his offspring winning in the showring. His offspring most often placing in the top three places. He has excellent conformation and is very upright.

Gardenia's Dam, Grey Cloud, was hand picked for Ameripaca's grey suri breeding program from Bolivia. Grey Cloud is a shimmering, dark silver grey suri with excellent and consistent lock structure.

Gardenia's first two crias were grey. She delivered her third cria on 6/6/06 "Ashton" He is a gorgeous bayblack male. His lock structure is tight and slick feeling. He has twisted pencil locks to the skin and luster is shinning as you look at him. Imagine the possibilities with his grey genetics. Ashton is sold--look for him in the show ring.

Shasta Springs Alpacas is proud to announce we are now co-owners of 5-time Blue Ribbon and 4-time Color Champion - SCF Lucky Luciano with Jim and Helen Humphreys of Silvercloud Farm. Lucky Luciano has amazing crimp and fantastic coverage. He has his Dam's dark lustrous brown color. Mulowe, his Dam, has produced several multiple ribbon winning crias. We have every reason to believe Lucky Luciano will follow in her footsteps and if we are "Lucky" enough he will pass on those superior genetics.

Lucky's first crias have hit the ground at Shasta Springs Alpacas and they are amazing. He has produced a grey cria bred to a grey Dam-- All the offspring have had incredible bundling at birth. Shasta Springs Winter's Magic is a medium rose grey female born on May 30, 2008. She is an exact dublicate to her dam Winter Solstice. She is a striking young female and the great-grand-daughter of our Silver Orchid. She is presently for sale.

Silver is 13 years old and in delicate health. She has been an excellent producer and will live out her old age in our pasture.

Gaspirilla is a dark medium silver grey maiden Suri female. She has four generations of grey on her Dam's side. Her Sire is PVA Mahogany Prince named "The Head Master" and is well known to the Suri world as the highest selling Suri ever.

Gaspirilla has a striking presence. She stands proud and tall with outstanding conformation. She has tightly twisted locks with a greasy feel. She has bright luster and defined locks seldom seen in grey fiber. She exhibits uniformed lock structure from her topknot to her toes.

Gaspirilla's show career will begin at Mapaca in April 2008 at the early age of 7 months.

DDF Accoyo Maurizio is the full son of 2Peruvian Bruxo (Accoyo) and 2Peruvian Eleuteria (Accoyo) who is a medium fawn. Maurizio carries the gentle nature of his Sire Bruxo, along with strong heavy boned body type. Maurizio's fleece has narrow, high luster locks with that desirable "greasy" appearance. He has outstanding leg coverage, a heavy dense fleece, and still sports facial coverage and a beard at age 5. Accoyo Bruxo has produced many show-winning offspring, and there is great expectation for Maurizio producing colored Accoyos with show-winning records. Maurizio has produced fantastic colors when bred to Shasta Springs colored Suris! He has produced fawn when bred to our white female.

Casseopeia is a beautiful grey female out of the legendary herdsire - "Dom Timbo". She is very correct in conformation, large-boned, and has very soft fleece with nice crimp and density. Casseopeia is a great mother.
She has produced a light brown male out of Snowmass Golden Heritage "Durango". He won first place at his first show this Fall.

Shasta Springs will keep Durango and continue to show him throughout his career. Look for him in the ring. Casseopeia is for sale. Minerva is a rare grey suri female. At the 2002 AOBA National Conference Fleece Show her fleece won 4 different awards. She is the daughter of the amazing grey Suri Herdsire, El Nino. Minerva has delivered her crias easily and produces more than ample milk. A quality I have learned to greatly appreciate. Minerva was bred to the Legenday PVA Mahogany Prince. He is an incredible Herdsire. He has lock and luster from head to toe, big heavy bones and great coverage.

Minerva delivered a dark rose grey female with a white face and grey fiber running throughout her fleece. She is undoubtably a head turner. She was born on September 16, 2007 and her name is Gaspirilla.

Shasta Springs Mojave is a light fawn huacaya. He exhibits tight bundling through out his entire body. He has excellent conformation and is errect perfect presence is striking.

He is the product of our 4 X Champion Lucky Luciano and our grey female that has produced blue ribbon winning crias year after year.

Even at this early age it is evident Mojave will be headed into the show ring.

Moondance is the first rose gray Suri female born at Shasta Springs. She is a gorgeous head turning female. She has wonderful color and thick soft locks tint twisted tips. Her perfect conformation she inherited from both Dam and Sire. She was an early breeder, though we had hope to get her back in the show ring.Moondance won 6th Place at Paoba 2005 Breeders Showcase, she was in a large class of "mulit-colored" animals, very tough to compete against.

Moon Dance bred on her first breeding to our Champion Rare Rose Grey Herdsire - "Ameripaca's Radar." She produced a rose grey male that is a gorgeous combination of Moondance and Radar. "Winchester" was born Nov. 28, 2006 and a very rare rose grey male produced from two rose greys. We are very excited about this breeding from two Incredibly Rare Suris.

Moondance bred to Radar and produced a dark brown Suri male on Dec. 18, 2007.

She is presently bred to MFI Shadow Ranger and due on December 12, 2008.

Neruda's Delilah is a spectacular medium silver grey maiden Huacaya. Her Sire is Patagonia's Neruda, needing no introduction being the highest selling male at the Futurity Auction in 2006. Delilah's show career is ready to begin and she is destined to be a star. She has a flawless frame. Her head and face are simply gorgeous. Her fleece is incredibly dense with high frequency crimp that is buttery soft. She was not shorn as a cria and has an exceptional stable length. Her fleece has an eye catching lilac hue to it with extreme coverage from head to toe. Her Dam Patagonia's Prairie Rose is a stunning light silver grey out of Kaspa. The genetics in this young female make an outstanding pedigree.
In addition Shasta Springs is including Delilah's first breeding to Lucky Luciano (co-owned with Silver Cloud Alpacas). Lucky is a dark brown four time color champion and has produced several outstanding grey offspring when bred to grey.

2008--Second Place Futurity

Wombat's Nightingale is an most beautiful marked black and white Suri female I have ever seen. Her Sire is Nightshade a true black. Her Dam, Lady Babette, is a Blue Ribbon winning Suri. Nightingale's first cria was a beautiful fancy female. . Her second cria "Apache" was out of our Mahogany colored Herdsire - "Tobago" Apache looked like Nightingale. Apache won 1st Place at PAOBA 2006. We rebred her to Tobago for our "06" cria - "Boddington.". Boddington is a stunning medium brown male with slick shiny corkscrew locks.

For our "07" cria we breed Nightingale to Alpaca Trading Company's "Commander In Chief". The "Chief" is a true black Chilean Herdsire with a very impressive show record.

Nightingale was bred to Acero Marko's Sergio and delivered a beautiful brwon and white female "Wriggly' on May, 12, 2008. Sergio is one of Shasta Springs Favorite Herdsires. He is an amazimg black Suri and has produced multiple Blue Ribbon Champions!

Nightingale is presently rebred to Shasta Springs "Tobago" and due April 27, 2009.

Olympia is a beautiful dark brown mahogany female Huacaya. She has very fine soft fiber. She is eye catching in the pasture because of her beautiful color and correct confirmation.

Olympia was a late bloomer and now expecting her first cria in August of 2008.

On-line is a very large boned grey Herdsire with excellent fiber and conformation. Both his sire, Fantasy's Gremlin and dam, Bkush Von TR are grey. He is one of our favorite greys. On-line has a wonderful hand and great crimp. We purchased On-line from Ameripaca in June of 2001--- where he had proven himself with numerous gorgeous crias. USA Peruvian Paverati

Prairie Rose is a well-balanced female with thick bones and a gorgeous head. She has a beautiful light rose grey fleece that is rare in color, bright, fine and dense. Prairie's Sire, Kaspa, is a six-time Champion including the 2003 AOBA Grey Male Champion. She was bred to Patagonia's Neruda. He is an exotic silver grey with extremely fine fleece. Neruda was sold at the Futurity Auction in Kentucky on April 21, 2007. Neruda was the highest selling Alpaca at the Auction. I think the price was $220,000.

This is a rare opportunity for us to get these genetics that have not been available up to this point.

Prestigious was bred to our grey Huacaya Herdsire - Online. Prestigious delivered a beautiful medium silver grey male "Wyndham" on 2/20/07. He has the most incredible crimp. The fiber can be barely parted--it is very dense. he has shown well in the show ring.

We have bred Prestigious to 4x Color Champion "Lucky Luciano" and delivered a black female "Snapple" on May 16, 2008. She is unquestionably a show girl.

The crias on ground produced by Redwall are fantastic. Everyone has beautiful tight locks and perfect characteristics. We are so pleased with his production.

Renaissance is a Rare Classic True Black Bolivian imported Female Suri. Her fiber is one of a kind. She would be hard to replace. She has passed on her fiber and perfect conformation to all her crias. Every cria has displayed bright luster with a great lock structure. All Renaissance's crias have consistently proven themselves in the show ring. We breed her several times to our Signiture Black Herdsire Sergio. The production was always been top of the line. She has been one of our best reliable producers. Easy pregnancys, easy deliveries, great mother, great lactation. She seems to pass on all her perfect qualities to her crias. Luster be perhaps her strongest attribute.

We have many fantastic Herdsires at Shasta Springs. We decided to breed Renaissance back to Tobago this year. His crias hit the ground and their luster is so bright. We were very enthusiastic about this union and were not disappointed. Renaissance, delivered an absolutely incredible female (Toronado) on 9/6/06. Loaded with locks and luster, this little girl has it all.

Renaissance is again bred back to Tobago for another cria like Toranado. She is due on September 2, 2008.

We have decided not to sell Renaissance. She is 12 years old this Spring. She is a Bolivan Import and has made Shasta Springs her home. It seems unfair to move her now. Her Crias will continue to be for sale.

Shasta Springs Roanoke is an extremely rare rose grey Jr. Herdsire. He is the product of three generations of grey on both sides of his pedigree. He will be just old enough to enter Paoba this Spring.

6Peruvian Romantico was purchased from Star Events Spring-03 Herdsire Sale. He is a Full Peruvian Male with fiber density that I have never encountered. He was the original real true first "Helmet Head" and passes on this trait to every cria. We all want animals with head wool. Coverage from nose to toes is Romantico's signature. He also has fineness and uniformity of fleece that makes him a winner. He was only available to customers of Shasta Springs. You must check out his pictures!!! His crias are awesome-- Simply Awesome!!

We are not really sure if his imported birthdate is correct. He is very mild tempered and acts old. We do not know how many more Romantico crias will be produced. Shasta Springs is not breeding Romantico but, we enjoy watching him enjoy his golden years.

Shasta Springs has retired Romantico and we have him watching over the younger males.

Shasta Springs Rubicon is a brown and fawn appaloosa Jr. Herdsire. He has bright curly dense fiber from head to toe.

Rubicon's fleece is very dense, fine and uniformed exhibiting a high frequency. He has a beautiful soft handle.

He has an attractive, well-balanced, compact build and a beautiful head.He has excellent conformation and beautiful leg coverage and cute fuzzy ears.

Rubicon inherited exceptional fleece qualities from his Sire SCF Lucky Luciano, a four time color Champion and his Dam Starlet O Hara also a blue ribbon winner.

Satu is one of the most exotic and rare Suri alpacas in the United States. Her lock formation is as tight as any white. Virgin fleece was 20.2 micron. A unique appaloosa female.

She was bred to Ameripaca's Gunsmoke. A gorgeous male cria was born on Feb. 3, 2003. McGrady is an appaloosa with the same markings as Satu.

Satu was bred back to Crayola and they produced an gorgeous white male on June 7, 04. "Vanilla Ice has incrediable fiber and is a Herdsire.

Satu bred to Shasta Springs "TOBAGO" delivered another beautiful fibered male - Edisto on 6/17/05. Edisto is loaded with locks, and has her appaloosa markings.
Satu bred to Tobago and delivered a gorgeous true black female cria (Sermet) on 9/4/06. Sermet wins every show she enters, including Reserve Champion at AOBA 2007 and Reserve Champion at the empire extravaganza in 2007.

Satu was then bred to the "Legendary" PVA Mahogany Prince and she delivered a white with brown speckling suri female on Sept. 14, 2007. We are very pleased with this gorgeous young female "Cypress" She looks very much like her Mom. We think all Satu's offsprings have been exceptional and have proven themselves exceptional in the show ring.

Satu is bred to Shasta Springs Tobago and presently due October 12, 2008.

Sermet is a True Black Full Bolivian Suri female. An absolutely magnificant young black female with rare Bolivian genetics in her background.
Black is a very rare and desirable color but, to add the luster this young female exhibits is fantastic. She has flowing lustrous locks and a very slick shiny feel to the fineness in her fleece. Her lock structure is penciled to the skin and tightly twisted. We are seeing absolutely no flaws in this female.

Silver is a rare light silver grey female Suri. Silver has had three grey offspring when bred to Alpaca Jack's Legendary Silver Bullet. She produced Magical Farms Silver Shadow. She has lived and produced well at Shasta Springs and we will not sell her at 12 years old. It would be a hard adjustment for her to leave and we love her. She was bred last year to our Gunsmoke's son "Radar". He is an amazing Rare Champion Rose Grey.
Silver delivered a beautiful female fawn cria "Veramonte"(sold) on 9/16/06. She is something special - tons of shinning luster , loads of personality and tiny shimmering pencil locks typical of all Silver's crias.

Silver is perhaps the only animal we could not be talked into selling. Her delicate nature would not take a change of farms. She has been here a long time and will stay. Her crias are for sale.

Smoke is a beautiful female gray Huacaya. She carries herself with a sense of wisdom and royalty. She has a very pleasing gentle personality which she has passed on to every cria. She has always been a great mother - producing crias easily with plenty of milk. She has great fiber, color, and conformation.
Her first two crias were blue ribbon winners and she continued the trend with her third cria when bred to our champion gray Herdsire On-line, and produced Mercury. Mercury won first place in a huge gray class at Mapaca in April 2004 and continued to win several more after he was sold.
Smoke was rebred to Big Mac and produced a true black male Charleston on September 6, 2004. Charleston has done very well in the show ring.
Smoke's fifth cria is "Gypsy" -born on 12-17-05-- wow -- she is something special!**

This year Smoke produced a fawn male "Mojave" bred to SCF Lucky Luciano, our Herdsire we co-own with Silvercloud Farms. He is a Four Time Grand Champion winner and a beautiful dark brown Herdsire.

Smoke is rebred to Cloverleaf Farm's Earl Grey and due December 4, 2008. Earl is an outstanding grey male and this is sure to be an exceptional production.

Shasta Springs Snapple is a black female born on May 16, 2008. this female is gorgeous with dense soft tightly bundled crimp thorughout her fiber. She is definately has show girl qualities all about her.
She has beautiful confirmation and bone. A straight eye catching presence. She can be purchased with her Dam or separate.

Starlet O'Hara is truly a one of a kind huacaya female. I was instantly drawn to her unusual marking. I have never seen another alpaca like her. She also has gorgeous crimp and a dense blanket. I was hoping she could produce crias with her unusal markings. Her first cria delivered at Shasta Springs was what we ordered. Unusual colored pattern and fabulous fiber. A wonderful appaloosa and blue ribbon winner of the PAOBA multi class.

Starlet was bred to SCF Lucky Luciano, a four time color champion. He has the most amazing fiber! We co-own Lucky with Silvercloud Farms.

Starlet produced an appaloosa fawn and brown male on July 31, 2007 " Rubicon" I am absolutely in love with his fiber.

Starlet produced a bay black female on July 11, 2008. She had thick curly crimped fiber from day 1. A show quality young female! Consistent with all crias Starlet and Lucky luciano have continued to produce for Shasta Springs!

Starlet's exotic markings are one of a kind and I plan to watch her forever out my kitchen window forever.

Tilama is our special taupe colored Huacaya female. She is a Chilean Import.She has a color that is not really identified on the color chart . She is a wonderful mother and has been a good producer for Shasta Springs. She has produced grey, black and brown.

We will not sell her at 13 years old. She is breeding strong but, this is her home. Tilama is a good mother, good milker, and produces great crias. Her genetics are passed on through her crias.

Tilama is bred to our Co-Owned 4time Champion Herdsire "Lucky Luciano".
Tilama's crias are for sale. It is by no coincidence that every cria produced by Lucky has amazing densely crimped fiber.

Tilama was bred to ScF Lucky Luciano and produced a multi-colored male on June 15, 2008. This cria got the entire farm excited. His name is "Kodochrome" and we are all in love with this young male. His fiber is consistent with the excellent crimp Lucky Luciano continues to produce with each cria.

Tobago is an awesome Bay Black/Mahogony Male Suri. He is Full Bolivian. His Sire is Andy Tillman's Inspiration and Dam is Rose Grey "Moonlight and Roses". Moonlight has been an excellent producer for us.

Tobago won second place as a bay black at Mapaca in April 2003. Our Kyptonite won first. I think Tobago is a deep mahogony.(No such color?) Whatever you may think, He is undoubtably gorgeous. He is one of Shasta Springs favorites with his unusual color and incredible thick twisted perfectly uniformed locks with glowing lustrious fiber. Perfect conformation on this big boned male.

Tobago first crias hit the ground in the Spring of 2005. He is producing some of the most lustrious crias and we are so pleased with his production. They are just loaded with tight twisted locks to the skin and luster that is apparent from a far distance.

It is apparent to all visitors that Tobago is a great male Suri.

Shasta Springs Winchester is an extremely rare rose grey Suri Male Jr. Herdsire. His Sire is a son of the well-known Gunsmoke and grand-son of 4P Condor. His Dam is the poster alpaca for PAOBA and an offspring of one of our best producers of rose grey crias. Light rose grey Suris make up only .8 of the total suris in the US making Winchester the rarest color in the USA. The fact that Winchester was produced from two extremely rare rose grey parents makes him even rarer and most likely to reproduce his color genetics in a breeding program.

Winchester has started his show career this Fall. We are quite impressed with his fiber density and uniformed locks. He is conformationally perfect at his young age. His locks has very nice luster. Put his extremely easy-going personality in the package and he is perfect for any breeding program trying to upgrade their program.

Shasta Springs Wyndam is a gorgeous medium silver grey Huacaya male. Wyndam has the most incredible dense super fine soft fiber with even crimping throughout his entire blanket. Caprice is a very Rare Gray Suri Female. She has produced two grey crias from the grey Herdsire El Nino and two grey crias from our Grey Herdsire Admiral. A consistent producer of Grey! She has appaloosa characteristics Caprice has been a great Mom--extremely easy to breed and delivers easily. Caprice delivered a healthy fawn 1/2 Accoyo male cria on Sept. 22, 2006. We were hoping for grey but, this 1/2 young male is no disappointment. He looks great! He has a slick feel to his fiber and locked tight to the skin.

Casi delivered a beautiful male cria (Gunnison) on 9/3/06. His color is just like his Sire, Tobago, that rich mahogany brown and loaded with luster. He is currently in our show strand. Gunnison won 1st place at his last show.

Shasta Springs is offering a 3 in 1 rare package starring Scarlett of Accoyo Felix. Scarlett is a beautiful, light fawn Full Peruvian daughter of Accoyo Felix bred to SCF Lucky Luciano. Her fleece is simply gorgeous, lustrous and dense with nicely bundled crimp and a very soft hand. She has the perfect Huacaya phenotype,lovely head and upright conformation.
Her Sire Accoyo Felix is from the plantel herd of Accoyo and he has a honey fawn fleece extremely rare on the Imported Accoyo. Scarlett’s Dam, 6 Peruvian Becca, is a dark maroon and she adds a strong potential to produce color.
Scarlett is presently bred to SCF Lucky Luciano and due May 18, 2008. Lucky Luciano is a spectacular dark brown 4 Time Champion Herdsire. Lucky’s perfect conformation, gorgeous head, royal stature, impeccable fleece along with his awesome personality are impressive characteristics he is putting into every cria. Lucky’s first crias will be entering the show ring this Spring and every single one looks exceptional! They are exhibiting extremely tight dense bundles of thick crimped fiber from birth. The fiber is hard to part even as small crias.
Scarlett will be offered with her cria at side. We had a hard time deciding whether to offer her amazing cria from this same production last year or Scarlett with her new cria. We decided adding the cria at side was more exciting. Scarlett’s genetics and fiber alone are outstanding and adding new genetics and the Champion fiber from Lucky Luciano make this package simply outstanding.
