ATC Accoyo Princess Bride by Torbio has one of the most lustrous fleeces I have seen. She is a beautiful fawn full Accoyo female. Her fleece sparkles on a cloudy day. Admiral is Shasta Springs Blue Ribbon Grey Herdsire. He has grey genetics from his Dam and Black from his Sire. Admiral has perfect conformation - we love showing him off.
Admiral is a medium silver gray with pencil locks and transcendent luster. He won first place and Reserve Champion at the very prestigious Eastern Jubilee Mapaca Show in Harrisburg in April 2002. We are very proud of him.
He also won first place at the Star Event Show.
We could never part with Admiral, but we offer a free breeding to him with a purchase of one of our females.
He has produced beautiful gray crias from a variety of colored Dams. The locks on all his crias have been an improvement on the Dam.

Toni's Peruvian Annie Oakley is an extremely dense dark rose grey female.

She was bred to Accoyo Tecate. Annie delivered a light fawn male - Accoyo Tecate's Coronaa on 9/5/08. He has gorgeous shiny very tight locks. His density is good and coverage is from head to toe.

Annie is presently bred to USA Peruvian Paverati. Paverati has some of the best luster in his fleece I have seen in a breeding grey male. Annie and Paverati both have a gorgeous array of grey fleece!

Annie is a modern rose grey and Paverati the classic silver grey. The production from this union is destine to be smashing! She is due August 23, 2010.

Arabella is a beautiful medium silver gray Bolivian Imported Female Suri.   Arabella has produced multiple grey offspring.  Notice Arabella's perfect top line. Her conformation is perfect and her crias have all had a very erect presence that makes them stand out. 

Arabella's crias have performed well in the show ring. She has produced fantastic grey Suris for Shasta Springs starting with ABCAdmiral our signature grey Herdsire. Her other male offspring have gone on to become Herdsires for other alpaca farms.
Arabella has an easy-going demeanor which is unusual for an import and all her crias have been exceptionally friendly.

Caledonya was born on 6-27-07. She is fawn with a smokey grey skin. I suspect Caledonya will produce grey when bred to grey as her Mother has repeatedly proven to do. Caledonya is due Sept. 15, 2009.

Arabella's next breeding to Radar produced
a gorgeous Light Silver Grey female "Duchess". She was born on June 11, 2008. Duchess was sold at the Extreme progent Auction to Noble Glen Farms, David and Kellie Butsacks. Congratulations and Thank you!

Arabella is presently bred to "Turn It Up" He is a true black Herdsire, Shasta Springs co-owns with Meadowgate Alpacas. She is due June 16, 2009.

She is presently 13 years old and continues to produce highly marketable crias every year. She can be purchased very reasonably and I suspect she will contine to be a great producer for many years.

She is a rare mulit-colored Suri female. She has exquisite tightly twisted fiber. Her color tones of white, medium fawn and beige run throughout her fleece adding to her rare qualities. Her Sire is the legendary MoonRiver's Peruvian Durango. He was sold last year to Australia and this makes these genetics very valuable. Durango earned an impressive name in the Suri show ring and his offspring continue the tradition.

Her Dam is a rare multi-colored offspring of the legendary 4Peruvian Condor.

Aria's genetic are an excellent rare combination and she has certainly inherited excellent conformation and fleece characteristics. Look for her in the Spring show ring!

Aria's made her show deput at one of the largest shows in the USA Mapaca on April 26, 2009 and took the blue ribbon as well!

Artemis is a true black male Suri. His fiber is glowing at this young age and he is presenting himself with a regal presence at this very young age. The fleece is lustrous with a greasy shiny glow.

Bayleigh is a beautiful light rose grey suri female.

She is presently being bred to GLR Coyhaique. We are extremely excited about co-owning Coyhaique with Great Lakes Ranch and having Coyhaique settling his first females here at Shasta Springs.

Bayleigh delivered Shiraz on August 25, 2009. Bayleigh and Coyhaique have similar gorgeous greys, fawns and brown colors running throughout their fleece. They are both extremely high luster rose grey Suris. A rose grey suri is the rarest of all Alpacas.
Shiraz is "special". She is either a multi or light rose grey at this point. Her fleece is gorgeous!

Charly's Angel is a beautiful medium rose grey female. She has a protective personality and would not be a good choice for a beginner alpaca breeder.

She produces gorgeous cria. She delivered a rose grey female on November 1, 2006.

Charly was bred to our Champion Grey Herdsire ABC Admiral and delivered a rose grey male "Roanoke" on Oct. 31, 2007. Roanoke has done very well in the show ring this year. He has gorgeous rose grey rare coloring.

Charly was bred to Admiral again and produced a dark brown suri female "Tuscany". Tuscany is a treasure!

Our Fawn Full Accoyo Maurizio has been an excellent producer of colors when bred to our colored females. Charly delivered a rose gray female Farah on 12-7- 2009.

We are holding Charly open until Sping and will enjoy her unbred exceptionally friendly behavior.

Shasta Springs Chivas is a light silver grey Suri female. She exhibits a striking upright presence. She is eye catching as she prances through the pasture. She began her show career quite successfully in the Fall of 2008.

Shasta Springs Cookies and Cream is exactly what we were wishing for with this breeding. A black and white female with exceptional Suri fiber. She is spell blinding with her extremely eye catching black and white lustrous fleece.

Cookies and Cream took 6th in the impressive multi class at the Mapaca Jubilee. She was the only black and white Suri alpaca at the show. If you are looking a head turning rare Suri, Cookies is your girl.

Farah is a light rose grey, 1/2 Accoyo female Suri. It is rare to see a 1/2 accoyo with such gorgeous colors. Her fleece has a greasy feel and is uniformly locked from head to toe.

Her extremely friendly personality makes her one of my favorites. She is always running up to me and nibbling on my fingers and clothes.

Farah is a Full Peruvian and her genetics and colorful. Her Sire is Accoyo Maurizio and he has been consistently producing dark colors when bred to dark females. A rare Accoyo trait. Farah's color and gorgeous fleece is bound to make her stand out in the show ring.

Her Dam is Charly's Angel. She is a dark rose grey and has consistently produced excellent crias with an exceptionally friendly personality.

Gardenia is a magnificent, dark silver grey suri female out of two grey suri parents. For a grey, she has magnificent luster, which not only makes her fleece a pleasure to look at but, to touch as well.

Gardenia is Sired by El Nino, a medium silver grey Herdsire famous for his offspring winning in the showring. His offspring most often placing in the top three places. He has excellent conformation and is very upright.

Gardenia's Dam, Grey Cloud, was hand picked for Ameripaca's grey suri breeding program from Bolivia. Grey Cloud is a shimmering, dark silver grey suri with excellent and consistent lock structure.

Gardenia's first two crias were grey. She delivered her third cria on 6/6/06 "Ashton" He is a gorgeous bayblack male. His lock structure is tight and slick feeling. He has twisted pencil locks to the skin and luster is shinning as you look at him. Ashton is a Herdsire for Tuscarora Alpacas.

Gardenia was bred to Admiral, our signature silver grey Herdsire. Chivas was born on Decmber 13, 2007. She is a beautiful young grey suri female entering our breeding program this Fall 2009.

Gardenia is presently bred to Acero Marka's Sergio. Sergio has produced several offspring that have grown in grey. She delivered a black female cria "Truffles" on April 9, 2009.

Maid of the Mist has developed into one of my favorite alpacas. She has a very different unique grey coloring and I think she is very special.

Twilight is a stunning medium rose grey Suri female. She produced a fawn male "Deputy" when bred to Wrangler. This was her first cria and she had an easy delivery and was a steller Mom.

She was bred to Shasta Springs medium grey Suri Herdsire "Iridium" and produced an eye catching female "Yalumba" on September 10, 2009. She is a great mother and has plenty of milk.

Jamocha is a gorgeous young rose grey Suri male. He appears to be medium fawn and is growing in rose grey. His fiber has such defined pencil twisted locks. From the top of his tight locked head to the tip of his tail exhibits high luster and eye catching fleece. This little male will be holding his own in any show ring.

Jamocha's Dam Maid of the Mist is a striking dark silver grey Female. A beautiful girl with a mystifying presence. She is a 4Peruvian Magnifico and 4Peruvian Condor daughter.

Jamocha's Sire is USA Peruvian Jaquar. He has an extensive and impressive show career. I expect Jamocha to follow in his footsteps.

Shasta Springs Winter's Magic is a medium rose grey female born on May 30, 2008. She is an exact dublicate of her Dam Winter Solstice. She is a striking young female and the great-grand-daughter of our Silver Orchid. She is presently for sale but, definately one of my favorites and I would find her hard to replace and hate to part with her.

Magic is going to be exciting to show this Spring. She is exhibiting quality grey characteristics that will definately put her in the top of her grey class. Her penciling is very tight and her luster just glows.

Gaspirilla is a dark medium silver grey maiden Suri female. She has four generations of grey on her Dam's side. Her Sire is PVA Mahogany Prince named "The Head Master" and is well known to the Suri world as the highest selling Suri ever.

Gaspirilla has a striking presence. She stands proud and tall with outstanding conformation. She has tightly twisted locks with a greasy feel. She has bright luster and defined locks seldom seen in grey fiber. She exhibits uniformed lock structure from her topknot to her toes.

Gaspirilla is presently being bred to Eminance Grise and due March 21, 2010. This is a production I am especially excited about. I think Gaspirilla and Eminance are outstanding Alpacas with incrediable gentics on both sides. Their spell binding colors are sure to produce an eye catching cria.

DDF Accoyo Maurizio is the full son of 2Peruvian Bruxo (Accoyo) and 2Peruvian Eleuteria (Accoyo) who is a medium fawn. Maurizio carries the gentle nature of his Sire Bruxo, along with strong heavy boned body type. Maurizio's fleece has narrow, high luster locks with that desirable "greasy" appearance. He has outstanding leg coverage, a heavy dense fleece, and still sports facial coverage and a beard at age 5. Accoyo Bruxo has produced many show-winning offspring, and there is great expectation for Maurizio producing colored Accoyos with show-winning records. Maurizio has produced fantastic colors when bred to Shasta Springs colored Suris! He has produced fawn when bred to our white female.

Moondance is the first rose gray Suri female born at Shasta Springs. She is a gorgeous head turning female. She has wonderful color and thick soft locks tint twisted tips. Her perfect conformation she inherited from both Dam and Sire. She was an early breeder, though we had hope to get her back in the show ring.Moondance won 6th Place at Paoba 2005 Breeders Showcase, she was in a large class of "mulit-colored" animals, very tough to compete against.

Moon Dance bred on her first breeding to our Champion Rare Rose Grey Herdsire - "Ameripaca's Radar." She produced a rose grey male that is a gorgeous combination of Moondance and Radar. "Winchester" was born Nov. 28, 2006 and a very rare rose grey male produced from two rose greys. We are very excited about this breeding from two Incredibly Rare Suris.

Moondance bred to Radar and produced a dark brown Suri male on Dec. 18, 2007.

She was bred to MFI Shadow Ranger and produced a rose grey male "Asher" in December 2008.

She is rebreed to Shasta Springs co-owned Herdsire WKL Turn In Up and due April 26, 2010.

The Captain's Morgana is a gorgeous dark brown Suri female. She is a Peruvian Macgyver grandaughter and Captain Morgan daughter.

Morgana recently delivered a second male Shasta Springs Kona. Kona is a dark fawn, born on Sept. 5, 2008. His Sire is Accoyo Maurizio. His fiber is extremely dense with extremely high luster. Afraid of the heat and his density, we had him shorn. He will show very well in the previously shorn class next Spring.

Morgana was rebred to Accoyo Maurizio and delivered a dark brown female - Mirabelle on 9/8/09. "Mirabelle is a winner. She definately has it all!

We would be crazy not to repeat this breeding to Accoyo Maurizio!

4Peru Katies Pamela Grace JCH

Pamela has a unique fun loving personality and has stolen our hearts. Her fleece is gorgeous. She turns every head.

USA Peruvian Paverati is one of my personal favorites. He must know it as he runs to me everytime I enter his field area. An exceptionally friendly male I hope he produces crias with his personality.

His fleece is exceptional as well. Gorgeous grey locks all over his well covered body. He has a nice solid bone and an extremely soft handle. He will be a great addition to Shasta Springs breeding program adding new grey genetics. He has begun breeding this Fall 2009 and we have him started on 3 of our high quality grey females. An opportunity to purchase his genetics in utero. The three grey show winning females he is bred to are: Pamela, Chivas and Annie Oakley.

The regrowth and penciling on Paverati's fleece is impressive!

Pistol is a light brown exceptional young male. He has some interested white highlights throughout his fleece. He will be part of Shasta Springs show strand this Spring.

Redwall is an exceptional, light brown, Suri Herdsire with outstanding conformation and beautiful fleece. His fleece has beautiful luster with lots of contrast in colors between the locks which truly glimmer in the sun. Redwall is always a pleasure to photograph as he constantly shows off his strong Suri presence with an upright and elegant head. The crias on ground produced by Redwall are fantastic. Everyone has beautiful tight locks and perfect characteristics. We are so pleased with his production.

Renaissance is a Rare Classic True Black Bolivian imported Female Suri. Her fiber is one of a kind. She would be hard to replace. She has passed on her fiber and perfect conformation to all her crias. Every cria has displayed bright luster with a great lock structure. All Renaissance's crias have consistently proven themselves in the show ring. We breed her several times to our Signiture Black Herdsire Sergio. The production was always been top of the line. She has been one of our best reliable producers. Easy pregnancys, easy deliveries, great mother, great lactation. She seems to pass on all her perfect qualities to her crias. Luster be perhaps her strongest attribute.

We have many fantastic Herdsires at Shasta Springs. Renaissance was bred to Tobago because his crias hit the ground and their luster is so bright. We were very enthusiastic about this union and were not disappointed. Renaissance, delivered an absolutely incredible female (Toronado) on 9/6/06. Loaded with locks and luster.

Renaissance was bred again to Tobago. She produced a gorgeous brown male"WindJammer". His luster is incrediable and quite noticable without opening up is the pencil locks. He was born on Sept. 14, 2008.

Renaissance was 13 years old this Spring. She is a Bolivan Import and has made Shasta Springs her home producing gorgeous crias year after year. She delivered "Tanzara" on 9-12-2009. She is dark brown with Renaissance's signature white markings. Renaissance will be left open for the Winter due to her age.

Shasta Springs Ritz is a beautiful black suri female. She out of Ameripaca's Roseleen, one of the most beautiful black females ever produced.


She was bred to Tobago and delivered "Tomahawk" on September 9, 2009. He is a true black male.

Ritz s rebred to Maurizio and ue 9-5-2010. Our full fawn Accoyo Maurizio has been allowing the female's color to pass through. We are excited to see what happens with black.

Sermet is a True Black Full Bolivian Suri female. An absolutely magnificant young black female with rare Bolivian genetics in her background.
Black is a very rare and desirable color but, to add the luster this young female exhibits is fantastic. She has flowing lustrous locks and a very slick shiny feel to the fineness in her fleece. Her lock structure is penciled to the skin and tightly twisted. We are seeing absolutely no flaws in this female.

Sermet is being bred to our newest Herdsire Turn It Up! Shasta Springs has recently purchased 1/2 interest in Turn it Up with Meadowgate Farms.

Sermet is now bred back to GLR Coyhaique and due December 2, 2009.

Tough Competition

Syrah is a true black female Suri. Her fiber is just plan lustrous.

Syrah is part of Shasta Springs show strand this Spring.

Tanzara is a dark brown female Suri. We are very pleased with this young female. She has beautiful fleece with great leg coverage and a silky soft handle.

She is probably the last offspring from our foundation female Renaissance. We have decided to retire Renaissance after many years off excellent production.

Tanzara genetics have become one the the extremely rare in the USA. She is a Full Bolivian. Her Sire is Tobago and one Shasta Springs signature Herdsires, consistently producing high luster crias with a beautiful full twisted lock style. Tobago's Sire is the well-know Inspiration of Boliva owned the Tillmans in OR.

Taverniti is the gorgeous offspring we expected from the production of Sermet and Sergio. We love this light brown female.

Her fleece has luster, pencil locks combined with the silkiest soft handle.

Her dam is Shasta Springs Sermet our AOBA Reserve Champion. Her Sire, Acero Marka Sergio is an outstanding black Herdsire that has produced numerous Champion offspring.

Tobago is an awesome Bay Black/Mahogony Male Suri. He is Full Bolivian. His Sire is Andy Tillman's Inspiration and Dam is Rose Grey "Moonlight and Roses". Moonlight has been an excellent producer for us.

Tobago won second place as a bay black at Mapaca in April 2003. Our Kyptonite won first. I think Tobago is a deep mahogony.(No such color?) Whatever you may think, He is undoubtably gorgeous. He is one of Shasta Springs favorites with his unusual color and incredible thick twisted perfectly uniformed locks with glowing lustrious fiber. Perfect conformation on this big boned male.

Tobago first crias hit the ground in the Spring of 2005. He is producing some of the most lustrious crias and we are so pleased with his production. They are just loaded with tight twisted locks to the skin and luster that is apparent from a far distance.

It is apparent to all visitors that Tobago is a great male Suri.

Shasta Springs Truffles is a stunning bay black female with excellent fleece characteristics. She has great conformation with incrediable presence and a fun curious personality.
She has beautiful lock structure, strong density and an extremely soft hand.
She is a high quality female and would make a great addition to your production herd.

Veramonte is a light fawn Suri female. She has brillant luster you can see shining in the field. If she sees you watching her, she will run over to you. Veramonte is the friendliest female we have and packed full of personality.

Veramonte's fiber is penciled to the skin and uniform throughout her blanket. Her fiber also has real good density. Not a negative characteristic for this young female. She has a beautiful Suri head.

Her Dam, Silver Orchid, is a very desirable Peruvian import. Her Sire is a Gunsmoke son, Ameripaca's Radar. Veramonte is his first cria to be produced. Radar is a Champion and we knew he would be producing crias with his exceptional fiber and qualities.

Shasta Springs Winchester is an extremely rare rose grey Suri Male Jr. Herdsire. His Sire is a son of the well-known Gunsmoke and grand-son of 4P Condor. His Dam is the poster alpaca for PAOBA and an offspring of one of our best producers of rose grey crias. Light rose grey Suris make up only .8 of the total suris in the US making Winchester the rarest color in the USA. The fact that Winchester was produced from two extremely rare rose grey parents makes him even rarer and most likely to reproduce his color genetics in a breeding program.

Winchester has started his show career this Fall. We are quite impressed with his fiber density and uniformed locks. He is conformationally perfect at his young age. His locks has very nice luster. Put his extremely easy-going personality in the package and he is perfect for any breeding program trying to upgrade their program.

Shasta Springs Yalumba is a rare rose grey female with exciting colors running throughout her soft silky fleece.

Her Sire is Shasta Springs Iridium. He has an impressive show career with a First Place winning from Mapaca and Paoba shows. Iridium's Dam and Sire are both medium silver grey.

Yalumba's Dam is HHF Western Twilight. She won First Place at two large prestigious shows the Futurity and The Big E. A second place at North American.
